Greater Springfield Rotary Strategic Plan
2025 - 2027

Introduction
The club is part of Rotary International a world-wide organisation of over 44,000 clubs and over 1.4 million members, which provides a network of inspired individuals who translate their passions into relevant social causes to change lives in the community, both locally and internationally.
Zone 8 of Rotary International includes Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.
Rotary District 9620 is within Zone 8 and includes 104 Rotary clubs across the southern part of Queensland which also includes PNG, Solomon Islands, and Nauru.
Greater Springfield Rotary is one of the clubs within District 9620.
As part of the global network, our club aligns to the Rotary International Vision and strategic priorities.

Our Club Vision
In aligning with the above RI Vision and priorities, the club has its own vision and strategic goals for the 2025-27 rotary year.
We are recognised as an active, vibrant, ethical, and fun club, that delivers valued community service, both locally and internationally.
 
 
Our Strategic Goals
Our strategic goals for the 2025- 2027 Rotary year are to:
  1. Continued support to the Rotary Foundation. 
  2. Further strengthening of our club and adapt to build our membership and diversity. 
  3. Focus on our service and effectiveness.
  4. Enhancement of our public image and community awareness of the Rotary brand and what we do.
  5. Enhanced internal governance processes.
  6. Have fun and enjoy ourselves.
     
Our Actions to achieve our Strategic Goals
 
Goal 1. Continued support to the Rotary Foundation. 
  1. Continue to donate at least 10% of the funds we raise during each year to the Rotary Foundation.
  2. Hold an annual fundraising event that supports Polo Plus
  3. Encourage club members to support Every Rotarian Every Year and the Australian Centurion program with personal donations to the Foundation of at least A$100 during each year.
  4. Continue to support the Rotary Peace Program
Goal 2. Further strengthening of our club and adapt to build our membership diversity.
  1. Embrace innovation and flexibility in all we do.
  2. Engage in sound strategic and operational planning.
  3. Provide interesting, informative, and enjoyable meetings.
  4. Embed open and transparent internal communications within the club and with our stakeholders in the community.
  5. Enhance our membership recruitment and retention, with a net growth of at least 5 members each year.
  6. Develop our future leaders through education, training, and mentoring.
Goal 3. Focus on our service and effectiveness.
  1. Develop signature projects.
  2. Seek to identify new community projects, based on local and international needs that we can realistically contribute to.
  3. Enhance our community networks and leverage them to guide our services.
  4. Seek feedback on the services we provide and adapt where need is identified.
Goal 4. Enhancement of our public image and community awareness of the Rotary brand and what we do.  
  1. Improve the way we promote ourselves and build community awareness.
  2. Build better links with other community organisations.
  3. Establish and enhance a corporate partner program.
Goal 5. Enhanced our internal governance processes.
  1. Develop governance guidelines, aligned to our Rules/Constitution and Bylaws
  2. Review our bylaws and bring them into alignment with the revised rules and constitution.
  3. Formalise our committee structure, with each member allocated to at least one committee.?
  4. Develop committee succession plans and folders.?
Goal 6. Have fun and enjoy ourselves.
  1. Underlying all we do will be the need to ensure we promote fun and fellowship as well as service.  
 
Measurable outcomes
  1. A positive impact in the community by completed Club service projects with successful outcomes
  2. Net increase in membership of 5 plus per year
  3. 10% plus of funds raised donated to Rotary Foundation
  4. Increased public and social media presence
  5. Full governance compliance
  6. Regular engagement by members in projects, club activities, and social events
